🚀 API Documentation Geeklab API is created to allow Geeklab developers and users to access their apps, campaigns, and campaign results. The API requires a unique API token, you can receive and revoke from Geeklab’s dashboard if you have admin access. It boils down to simply the actions. So a Decisive users are those that hit “exit” or “install”, any other actions deem them Exploring users. Decisive users: These are users that almost immediately make a decision upon landing on the store page. They either download the app or leave the page. Exploring users: These are the users that take their time on the page. Such as looking at the screenshots, developer, video, etc. Also, they click on other parts of your lookalike page before hitting the install button.

How to set up Meta Pixel

Welcome to our guide about how to set up a Facebook pixel on your Geeklab campaign.

Setting up the pixel is an important step to optimize the campaign and to utilize the landing page view. Users will see a redirecting page for a second before being redirected to the final destination you’ve picked when creating the campaign. When on this page, the pixel will be introduced firing back the landing page event to Facebook. This allows you to optimize your campaigns towards people who click install. Let’s dive right in.

👉 Business Manager

The pixel setup starts on the Business Manager.

Under Data sources, select Pixels to access the pixel setup view. From this view, you are able to create a new pixel by clicking the Add button next to the search bar. The add button will open a window that allows you to rename the pixel.

As the pixel is now set up, you are able to connect it to a business account by accessing the pixel.

This the view where you can find the Pixel ID. The ID is a series of numbers that you will add in the Geeklab campaign’s Attribution tab later.

Facebook A/B testing Ad Setup

We understand how challenging running a Facebook ad campaign can be. So here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to do it.

Before getting started make sure you have two factor authentication enabled before you begin. Without it, Facebook will not allow you to create a business account. Also, before you begin creating the ad campaign, make sure you have the campaign or variation tracking links from Geeklab. Lastly, make sure you have a Facebook page for your product that you can link to your campaign.

1. Ad Campaign. The first step is to create a new campaign. You should select Traffic as your Campaign Objective. Clicking on the 'Name you campaign' to add names for the Campaign, Ad Set and Ad.

If you use the campaign tracking link, this is the only Ad set and Ad you will need. However, if you want to use different tracking links for each variation, you must create separate Ad Set for each one. In that instance, give each Ad Set the same name as its variant.

After this you can press continue.

2. Ad Set. After pressing the continue it will open the editor. You can then navigate to the Ad Set, which can be found in the editor's left top corner.

Here you'll find a short tutorial on how to create a campaign using Geeklab's Campaign builder! 🚀

Creating a campaign:

First, click New Campaign. Next select an app to create the look-alike page from. You can either create a new campaign within an old project, or create a new project + campaign. Select the language and store.

With Live App you can select to fetch your app from either the App Store or the Google Play Store. With Concept Test you will get a blank campaign page to start from scratch.

The campaign creation has been divided into tabs for easy setup. All changes will always be automatically saved, so no need to worry about losing your progress!

General tab:

In this tab you can update or add all the text to your look-alike page
For existing apps this tab is where you can change the store page and the language of the page. Note: While all the languages are supported, not all of them have been whitelisted yet. If you'd like to use one that isn't currently available, please contact us. We'll make it available within 24 hours.
Name the campaign something like: ICONTESTIOS_FB. The goal here is to keep your team and yourself informed about what the test is all about.

Campaign results provide you with all of the data points you need to make the right decisions, whether you are doing concept validation or conducting traditional ASO. Here's a quick rundown of all of the data points:

Overview

The Overview -tab shows each variant's conversion rate, conversion rate distribution and daily significance rate.

The probability of each variant winning again is calculated by utilizing 2 different statistical models: one is the Frequentist model and the other one is the Bayesian model. The Frequentist model calculates the frequency of occurrence of an event, observed in a number of repetitions of the experiment. The Bayesian model tells you how your current belief should be updated based on the new data that emerged.

If a clear winning variant has been found, it will be shown on the top. However, a winner is not always found, which can be due to many reasons, with the most common ones being:

The differences in each variant's performance are not clear enough, leading to our algorithm not having enough confidence in a winner
The campaign did not get enough impressions for accurate data
More than one winner has been found
