Campaign Builder
Here you'll find a short tutorial on how to create a campaign using Geeklab's Campaign builder! 🚀
Creating a campaign:
First, click New Campaign. Next select an app to create the look-alike page from. You can either create a new campaign within an old project, or create a new project + campaign. Select the language and store.
With Live App you can select to fetch your app from either the App Store or the Google Play Store. With Concept Test you will get a blank campaign page to start from scratch.
The campaign creation has been divided into tabs for easy setup. All changes will always be automatically saved, so no need to worry about losing your progress!
General tab:
In this tab you can update or add all the text to your look-alike page
For existing apps this tab is where you can change the store page and the language of the page.
Note: While all the languages are supported, not all of them have been whitelisted yet. If you'd like to use one that isn't currently available, please contact us. We'll make it available within 24 hours.
Name the campaign something like: ICON_TEST_IOS_FB. The goal here is to keep your team and yourself informed about what the test is all about.
NOTE: Product Page name and Product Page Description are only for your eyes, so it will not be shown on the look-alike page
Visuals tab:
Here you can add all the visuals to your look-alike page.
Screenshots are drag and drop, making it easy to change the order. They can all be the same size, since our system automatically scales them according to the users' device.
We’ve also added our new AI Icon Generator in this tab. This tool allows you to write prompts on what you would/would not like to see in the icon, after which the AI will generate a few icons for you to choose from. The Icon Generator is also available in Assetlab.
Aspect ratios for the assets:
iOS App Store | Google Play Store | |
---|---|---|
Icon | 1 : 1 | 1 : 1 |
Screenshot | 2688 x 1242 or 1242 x 2688 | 16:9 |
Video | 2688 x 1242 or 1242 x 2688 | You can use any sized videos here. Note: In the actual Play Store, the video is linked through YouTube. Standard ratio for YouTube is 16: 9 or 9: 16. |
Feature art | 4 : 1 | 4 : 1 Will be the thumbnail of the video |
LiveOps tab:
This section allows you to add in-app event cards to your campaign.
Metadata Tab:
Here you can add ratings to your look-alike store page. You can choose an existing review group from the drop-down menu, or create a new one from the New Review Group button. On existing apps the reviews will be fetched automatically, but they can still be edited. NOTE: The fetched ratings do not include written reviews.
For concept testing it is recommended to add reviews, so that the page feels more authentic to the user.
On this tab you can also change the tracking settings (App Store) that the users will see on the look-alike page.
Attribution Tab:
Final URL = Users that click the ‘get’ button will be redirected to this URL. It can be the actual store page, a survey or anything you want!
Survey = Geeklab includes a built-in survey tool, which can be accessed via the New Survey button or via the Surveylab tab in the sidebar. You can either use an existing template or create one from scratch.
You will find ready surveys in the Survey drop-down menu.
Attribution / Pixel = While pixels are not required, we strongly recommend using them to make paid UA as efficient as possible. You can find a guide on implementing Facebook pixels here.
Congratulations on your new campaign! 🚀🎉
After you submit the campaign, you will receive tracking links for the look-alike pages. They can be found in the Product Pages view, behind the button with the chain icon.
When testing icons for example, you would want to redirect users to look-alike pages from the same ad. Then you can use a single link (the campaign tracking link) to automatically redirect users to the variations at random.
If you're testing different concepts, you'll need different ads for each variation. In that case you would use the corresponding tracking link with the corresponding ad.
